2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, well equipped for every good work.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for giving us your word; in it, we hear your will for all people, and that is for us to know, believe, and trust in you for salvation and eternal life. You instruct us to love you above all other things and those around us. However, we regularly fail at love because of our sinful pride and desire for everything.
Jesus was sent to restore us from our sins by forgiving them all when he suffered and died on the cross in our place. It is by faith we believe and trust in Jesus as our Savior; salvation comes to us, and we are reunited with you. Faith also sets us apart as your people; we live in love for you, and in that love, we also love others. Your word rebukes us when we are loveless towards you and others. Your word corrects us when our anger and pride run out of control. Your word also trains us to the forgiveness Jesus won for us on the cross, to remove the guilt and shame of our sins.
We pray that you will equip us to share the good news of salvation with those who do not know you. Soften their hearts to receive your gifts of grace, mercy, and love so that by faith, they will believe and trust in Jesus as their Savior, be complete, and have eternal life. Amen.

In God’s Word, he shares his will for us that he wants all people to know him, so he sent Jesus to suffer and die in our place so that by faith in him because we know and trust in Jesus, we have eternal life and salvation.
