Psalm 103:1-5
Bless the Lord, O my soul. All that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits—who pardons all your guilt, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with mercy and compassion, who satisfies your life with goodness, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
Dear Heavenly Father,
When we reflect on our sinful selves, we realize how unworthy we are to approach you. The way we speak to those closest to us, the actions we take, and the thoughts we entertain—all condemn us. Yet, through Jesus, you have restored us. Your plan of salvation was established when our first parents fell into sin; for this, we bless you. With every fiber of our being, we praise your holy name. We were lost in our sins, and without our Savior, we were on the path to eternal destruction.
We bless you for sending us Jesus; he willingly came to earth and lived a life of perfection—loving both you and us perfectly. Then, we were credited with his perfection. Jesus went to suffer and die innocently on the cross for all our sins; he pardoned us so that whoever believes in his forgiveness is granted the crown of glory and eternal life. Jesus overcame sin, and through his lifeblood, we are healed; we may not have total relief now, but we can be confident in the complete healing we will receive in heaven. Through faith in Christ, heaven is now our home. We pray for strength from you as we continue in this wilderness until we are home.
Father, we pray for those around us. If it is Your will, grant us opportunities to share the good news of Jesus’ holy life and death with those who do not know You, so that through this message, they too will come to believe in their Savior and bless Your holy name. Amen.

When you realize the devastating effects of our sins, the fact that we had no way out on our own, and that God has saved us through Jesus, how can you not praise him for the miraculous things he has done for you? You are forgiven through faith in Jesus, and heaven is yours.
