Time for Grace – February 13, 2025

Luke 12: 27-31

[Jesus said] “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. But I tell you, not even Solomon, in all his glory, was dressed like one of these. If this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow, is thrown into the furnace, how much more will he clothe you, you of little faith? Do not constantly chase after what you will eat or what you will drink. Do not be worried about it. To be sure, the nations of the world chase after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need them. Instead, continue to seek the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you.”

Dear Heavenly Father,

You care for all our needs, even when our faith is weak. When we look at the weeds in a field, how they are adorned with colorful petals, and the care you have taken with them, we realize that you value us even more because you created this world for us.

We ask that you forgive us when we worry, as we often concern ourselves with many things like what to eat or wear. However, our greatest concern should be our sins, which could condemn us, but you removed them when you carried out your salvational plan. You sent your Son, Jesus; He died and paid for our forgiveness. The gift of forgiveness is available to us through faith, and we pray instead of chasing after the things You provide; we will pursue Your Word. Please strengthen our faith by hearing and reading Your Word.

Since You have resolved our issues with sin and death, strengthen our faith in You and Your providence to care for all our needs, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love and trust in You. May our response to Your love and care for us be to share the good news of salvation with those who do not know or trust You. Please let the fields remind us of Your love and mercy. Amen.

God takes care of all our needs. If He provides coverings, water, and light for the plants, He will take even better care of you, as you are worth more than any plant. God loves you and has established His plan of salvation to restore you to Him through faith in Jesus.
