Time for Grace – March 12, 2025

John 6:47-51

Amen, Amen, I tell you: The one who believes in me has eternal life. “I am the Bread of Life. Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that anyone may eat it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

Dear Lord Jesus,

For those who wonder why Christians believe in You, it is because You grant immortality to all who believe in and trust You after this life ends. This gift of life is available to everyone who has faith in You, allowing us to be united with You for eternity at the end of our lives. So, please nourish our faith with Your living bread.

We live in a sinful world, and everyone carries the weight of sin. There is no hope on our own, and those who reject You are like the people who ate manna in the wilderness; because of their unbelief, they faced eternal death and were separated from You forever. Even though they were Your chosen people whom You rescued from Egypt, their decision to turn away and reject You led to their suffering that eternal death.

Faith makes all the difference. You nourish us through Your Word, enabling us to trust confidently that You suffered and died on the cross for all our sins and that You have defeated sin, death, and the Devil. As our faith is nurtured by Your Word, we depend on Your promises of eternal life. It was Your life, Your flesh, that You willingly gave on the cross for everyone, but it can only be received through faith in You.

We pray that we can share the Living Bread with those who do not know You, so they too may feast on You and receive salvation. Please assure them that all their sins are forgiven, so they will trust in You and have eternal life. Amen.

God loves you so much that He came to this earth to suffer the punishment intended for you, so that you would no longer be condemned but restored to Him and be saved.
