Time for Grace – April 4, 2025

Psalm 118:24

This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Every day is a gift from you, and today is yet another day of grace during which we can observe the works of your hands in our lives; we are never alone, for you are always with us. Thank you for nurturing and sustaining our planet, caring for all people, and providing everything we need in this life and, more importantly, for eternal life.

You are consistent in everything you do, from regulating galaxies to overseeing our planet. The Earth continues to take 24 hours to spin on its axis and 365.25 days to revolve around the sun. We have oxygen, water, food, and, let’s not forget, gravity; all of these systems support and sustain humanity and life. You have established and regulated the Earth’s systems so effectively that we expect everything to happen seamlessly from moment to moment, often forgetting your care for us.

Yet, every moment is a blessing for us, granting us more time to spend with those around us; these are our time of grace. For each person, You have provided a specific number of moments in their life for them to come to know and trust You. They are to learn of Your love for each individual; how, when our sins condemned and separated us from You, You established Your salvational plan to restore us to You.

Your Son granted forgiveness to the world so that those who know, trust, and believe in His holy life, innocent death, and glorious resurrection will be saved. This life is a time to rejoice in You for our salvation. Let us share our joy and peace with those who do not believe or trust in You. Allow Your word to enter their hearts so that they, too, will have faith and, through faith, receive the forgiveness Jesus won for them, leading to their salvation and eternal life.

Lord, what shall this day bring to us that You do not control? Nothing! You are always with us, no matter what may come our way; we hold on to You through adversity and troubles. Thank You for the blessings You have given us on this new day. Let us give thanks for the great things You have done for us. Amen.
