Time for Grace – April 3, 2025

Psalm 25:4-5

Make known to me your ways, O Lord. Teach me your paths. Make me walk in your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. In you, I hope all day long.

Dear Heavenly Father,

David prayed to understand Your ways, just as we need to grasp the path You have set for us. As he reflected on his sins, he must have realized how far he had drifted from You. For David, salvation was not a result of his righteous efforts; rather, he succumbed to temptation and acknowledged his wrongdoings—the things he had done. Your Word—Isaiah 64:6—also tells us that all our righteousness is like filthy rags, causing us to fade away. You also state, “Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does not sin.” (Ecclesiastes 7:20) David understood this well.

Lord, teach us Your paths. Your Son declared that He is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to You except through Him. Let us never feel overwhelmed by our sins or alone, trapped with no escape. Guide and instruct us in the way that comes through faith in Jesus. He endured the punishment for the world’s sins, and His forgiveness is extended to each person through faith in Him. We pray that as we hear Your word, our faith will begin or grow stronger.

You are the God who saves us through Your plan of salvation. Jesus came to live a perfect life in our place, then suffered and died for all our sins. Your ways are to believe in and trust Jesus; it is by faith that You save us all.

Please send Your Holy Spirit to work within us, so we can confidently follow the salvific path You have laid out for us and place our hope in You. Let us also share our hope with those who are imprisoned by their sins and feel isolated and alone. Let us make Your paths known to them, so they may be truly free and saved by You. Amen.

Salvation is granted to everyone through faith in Jesus; this is the only path to heaven. Know and trust that Jesus has bestowed His perfection upon you, and He died to remove all your sins. You no longer need to feel isolated, for He promised to be with you until the end of this age.
