Psalm 118:24

This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Each day is a gift from you. We have another day of grace that we spend watching the works of your hands in our lives. You are so consistent in what you do that we expect everything to happen as it has in the last moments. But every moment is a blessing for us. You have given us more time to spend with those around us; for those who know of your salvation, it is a time to rejoice in You for our salvation. For those who don’t know you or your peace or forgiveness, now is the time to share with them the joy and hope we have in you. We get to tell them we are accountable to you for everything we have done and how, by nature, we are sinful beings. On our own, our sin condemns us all. Still, you sent your Son to take all our sins to the cross, and salvation is ours. Through faith alone in Jesus, they too can the hope, joy, and peace of salvation. Lord, what shall this day bring to us that you do not have control? Nothing! You are always with us no matter what may come our way; we hold on to you through adversity and troubles. Thank you for the blessings you have given us on this new day. Let us give thanks for the great things You have done for us. Amen.
