Psalm 69:13
But I direct my prayer to you, O Lord, for a time of favor. God, in the greatness of your mercy, answer me with the certainty of salvation from you.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Since the fall into sin, we have faced trouble and corruption in this world. We are faced with the reality and weight of our sins all the days of our lives. We thank You for not leaving this weight upon us.
Lead us to do as the psalmist writes and direct our prayers to You. When we are in the depths of despair and terrified of the future or the past, and for all the times we need Your comfort, cause us to turn to You, as You have instructed us in Your word so that we can cast all our anxieties and cares upon You.
You have promised us that You hear all our prayers. Lord, please answer our prayers according to Your will, grant us your holy comfort, which comes to us only through the greatness of Your mercy, and reassure us of the certainty of the salvation Christ has won for us on the cross. Our strength, hope, and trust are in You, O Lord. Help us never to lose faith in this wonderful Gospel message.
Please guide us to also share this message about your love and mercy with others in this world who do not yet know you. Please grant them the promise of salvation that comes to them only by faith in your Son, Jesus. Amen.

Prayer is that demonstration of your faith; it is knowing you have a loving Savior who restored you by his death on the cross so that you have eternal life. He has already died so that you will live so you can confidently trust he is with you when problems come your way.
